WFJ meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall at Greenwood First FWB at 7:00 PM unless other wise announced.
NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
On Tuesday, June 10, the WFJ met at the church for their regular monthly meeting as well as for the Father & Son Banquet. The WAC (ladies) of the church fixed the meal and boy was it great! We enjoyed Ham, Fried Chicken, Lima Beans, Corn, Broccoli Casserole, Green Beans, "Tater" Salad, Rolls, and an array of desserts. The ladies really outdid themselves and we appreciate it!
The men ate and then Pastor Chris opened up the meeting. We took prayer requests and then discussed some business matters. The WFJ decided to go over to Ms. Mary Johnson's home to do some work as part of the WFJ's "Adopt A Senior" project for the month. We are also going to discuss as a fund raiser project to raise money to purchase an ice machine for the kitchen.
Brother Daniel Webb brought the devotional from St. John 20 and his subject was, "When Jesus Calls Your Name." Brother Eddie Ferrell will give next month's devotional and Brother Wayne Massey will cook the main course.
